![]() The precursors cost around the same for the swords, while you could craft zap a bit cheaper than save the queen, it is under a heavy timegate, which save the queen isnt. The few first gen2 leggies that still had precursor journeys associated with them used a collection instead of the sigil/shards, which required less gold than the shards but more gold and participation than the sigils. As those shards are already included in the crafting of the precursor (190 total+100 for the gift) this addition is debatable in its function as it is also more expensive for 2h weapons than 1h weapons, a distinction that wasnt made for gen1 leggies. Gen 1 only used 1 specific sigil which is pretty cheap but the newer leggies use 100 weapon shards, which are quite pricy and act as material sink t5 common and fine mats. The weapon specific gift (gift of bolt/blade) is pretty much the same on 3 items, the gift of metal, gift if lightning and runestones, the 4th ingredient is different. with mounts being unlocked for core tyria, the gift of exploration will be even easier to come by now. While the HoT maps are definately harder to complete than single core tyria maps, you will definately get more mat/gold rewards while doing so in HoT compared to core tyria. It only takes 4 maps to complete for the gift of maguuma instead of the 16? for the gift of exploration. One reason was most definately to create demand for lower tier gemstones which mostly creeped around vendor value for the most part of vanilla gw2. The gift of maguuma mastery also has a significant gold sink in it in the form of Amalgamated gemstones and ectos for the crystalline ingots. The gift of Mastery didnt really have any material or gold costs associated with it, its mostly the gift of exploration that takes alot of time plus some other account bound mats that are easily to come by now. Now we have additional faucets for them (daily log ins, reward tracks etc.) so their acquisition costs kinda got devalued a bit for gen 2 weapons. You also have to keep in mind, that mystic clovers are easier to come by now, before HoT, the only way to obtain them was forging them yourself so you definately had to get those MC and ectos to forge them. Wether you think this was intended design or not, is up to you. When HoT released, Mystic coins were three times cheaper than ectos but today that ratio is the other way around, the while the mystic tribute was initially cheaper to obtain, it is now more expensive. The other big difference between those two items is that apart from the 77 clovers (whose main costs are ectos and mystic coins) you now need an additional stack of mystic coins besides the mystic clovers instead of an additional stack of ectos. The differences are that the new Mystic Tribute requires a little less t6 fine mats but therefore some t3-5 fine mats too in order to create some demand for lower tier fine mats which didnt really have any sinks before HoT. The Gift of Fortune was substituted by the Mystic Tribute, both act as main gold/material sinks for the legendary weapon and cost 1200-1400g to forge. Lets have a look at the Shining Blade ( oops, The Shining Blade is here ) and Bolt. ![]() You may need less Spirit and Obsidian Shards if you already have some (or all) of the required 77 Mystic Clovers per legendary.Īlso if you have any questions, please PM me. This includes per legendary: 350 Spirit Shards, 500 Obsidian Shards (or 500k Karma, or 50k Unbound Magic etc), 1 Gift of Battle and 500 of some dungeon currency (that can be acquired together with the Gift of Battle through the respective Reward Track). Yeah, I can refer you and we could probably do it but just to clarify: you need all account-bound stuff, not just the Gift of Exploration. Then they will pay your fee (I've heard around 350g but it could vary). I know people who will buy your gift of exploration from you if you if you are trustworthy so you always have that option if you don't plan on making another legendary.īasically they will mail you all the mats, you craft the legendary and mail it back to them. ![]() ![]() Newly remastered editions began appearing in 2002 on Disney DVD, beginning with Very Merry Christmas Songs, featuring a new package design, bonus features, and some new songs. There have been over 30 titles released to home video. A special three volume set, Collection of All-Time Favorites, was released in 1997. This series abandoned any new volume numbers, included only sporadically on third series volumes. In the remixed opening and closing themes, the remixed opening can be heard on Friend Like Me, Circle of Life, Honor to Us All, and Collection of All-Time Favorites, and the remixed closing can be heard on the 19 editions of Heigh-Ho, as well as Friend Like Me, Circle of Life, and Collection of All-Time Favorites. The final release in this format was Flik's Musical Adventure at Disney's Animal Kingdom on June 8, 1999. Some songs moved to newer volumes, newly remixed opening and closing songs appeared. Spanish-language editions of some volumes were released ( Disney Canta Con Nosotros). Around 1996 this series incorporated Mickey's Fun Songs repackaged as Sing-Along Songs (a three volume live-action set in the style of Disneyland Fun). The third series, which began with 1994's Circle of Life, saw another new package design and the re-release of all previous volumes (excluding Fun with Music, repackaged as 101 Notes of Fun along with Hercules for markets outside North America). The second series released in August 1990 with Under the Sea and Disneyland Fun, featuring a new design and reissued volumes labeled One (1) through Twelve (12) in North America (worldwide, volume numbers). The first of four distinct series was issued beginning on December 23, 1986, with Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah, which would be followed by five more volumes. Scenes with Jiminy Cricket and Ludwig Von Drake were taken from television programs, including the Walt Disney anthology television series and The Mickey Mouse Club, which featured the characters in the 1950s and 1960s. Later volumes, as well as the two Christmas videos, do not feature a host at all. Professor Owl (now voiced by Corey Burton) hosts some of the videos, while either Jiminy Cricket or Ludwig Von Drake host others. Early releases open with a theme song introduction (written by Patrick DeRemer) containing footage featuring Professor Owl and his class, seen originally in 1953 in two Disney shorts, Melody and Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom (voiced then by Bill Thompson). Lyrics for the songs are sometimes displayed on-screen with the Mickey Mouse icon as a " bouncing ball". In the final shot of the indie game, the happy couple can be seen sitting in the backyard together with their baby, and the main character plays the ukulele for her family as the sun sets. Their belongings have mingled in both sets of boxes, and players use the items that have been carried from move to move to create one final home for the couple to live many happy years in. There’s plenty of room for all of their plants, magnets, and chicken figurines, and there’s even a backyard big enough for them to consider getting a pet. But there is less to the accusation than Johnson suggests. ![]() At this point in Unpacking's storyline, the main character is a professional artist and has published a children’s book featuring the pig and duck designs she’s been working on for the past few years. In the final chapter of Unpacking's story, the main character and her partner have bought a house and are beginning to build a family together. While the childhood bedroom feels smaller to her than it did before, she has a space of her own again where she can get back on her feet and begin to heal after the breakup. She’s gotten a bit more serious with the ukulele as well, and has bought a book to learn from since the last level of Unpacking. There’s a sewing machine on her desk as her parents had been using her room while she was away, but players can rearrange the space to make room for all of her things. Most of her old plushies are still in the room, and her poster can be found and hung up as well, creating a poignant feeling of nostalgia and comfort in the midst of the separation. If players do hang it on the corkboard, she’ll put the pin through his face. It seems to have been a painful breakup as a photo of them as a couple can be found, but unlike the rest of the photos that go on the corkboard, this one must be placed away in the cabinet where she doesn’t have to see it. After breaking up with her boyfriend and moving out of his apartment in 2012, the main character of Unpacking returns to her childhood home to stay with her parents for a while. ![]() Sheriff Andy Taylor and Clarence Reece shared a common problem: the challenge of raising young boys on their own. I watched a bunch of Andy Griffith reruns recently, and as I did, I let my memories of growing up in Elijay flood my soul. I'd stop at the barber shop and visit my Uncle Clifford, who ran it. I'd drop into Willie's Elijay Record Shop, where I spent hours combing through the racks. I'd stop at the soda fountain inside Starn's drugstore on the town square. I had free rein to wander anywhere I wanted to go in my hometown of Elijay, Ga. Opie had free rein to wander the streets of Mayberry. Andy was a widower my father, Clarence, was a widower, too. "My family didn't watch The Andy Griffith Show to count black people," Riley wrote, "we watched to see our way of life, one that included spending hours picking plums in a plum orchard and sitting under a chinaberry tree, eating them, walking along ponds to collect cattails. She grew up watching the show in her hometown of Tarboro, N.C. Rochelle Riley, a prominent Black columnist for the Detroit Free Press, made that case forcefully. ![]() But the experience of community that the show represented crossed racial barriers. In the entire history of the show, there was only one Black character with a speaking part. Was Mayberry representative of the diversity of Southerners in the 1960s? Of course not. And for those of us who grew up in towns like Mayberry, the voice of Sheriff Andy still conjures up the memory of parents or neighbors who could set us straight if we got out of line. He respected everyone in his community - from the oddballs like Briscoe Darling to the drunks like Otis Campbell. He resolved problems through reason and friendliness, not force. Sheriff Andy was a single father raising his son, Opie. A man I worked with years ago told me, in all seriousness, that there was nothing you needed to know about living, that you couldn't learn by watching The Andy Griffith Show. The show ran on CBS from 1960 to 1968, and I grew up watching it. Mayberry was the fictional North Carolina town that was the setting for the The Andy Griffith Show. Chuck Reece - Salvation South editor: Talk to anyone who grew up in a small Southern town in the middle of the 20th century, and you will likely hear this: An editorial published in the journal of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers defined quiet quitting as a rejection of " hustle culture" and the belief that value of work is intrinsically tied to number of hours. ![]() Īfter tang ping became a buzzword and inspired numerous Internet memes, business magazine ABC Money claimed it resonated with a growing silent majority of youth disillusioned by the officially endorsed " Chinese Dream" that encourages a life of hard work and sacrifice with no actual life satisfaction to show for it. In 2020, "involution" became one of the most commonly used words on Chinese-language media, where it is used to describe the feeling of exhaustion in an overly competitive society. The book gained attention in the late 1980's from social sciences research about China which led to the term, "involution," gaining great attention in China. Later that year, Chinese Internet users combined tang ping with involution, a process researched by American anthropologist Clifford Geertz in his 1963 book, Agricultural Involution. There are no verifiable sources as to who coined the phrase, but it was thought to be inspired by the tang ping ("lying flat") movement that began in April 2021 on Chinese social media and became a buzzword on Sina Weibo. Proponents of quiet quitting also refer to it as "acting your wage" or "calibrated contributing," and say that the goal of quiet quitting is not primarily to disrupt the workplace as part of an organized movement, but to avoid occupational burnout and to reassert autonomy and work-life balance on an individual level. Despite the name, the philosophy of quiet quitting is not connected to quitting a job outright, but rather, employees avoid going above and beyond at work by doing the bare minimum required and engage in work-related activities solely within defined work hours. Quiet quitting is a specific, often spontaneous or grassroots application of work-to-rule tactics. In this respect, work-to-rule tactics can resemble other forms of industrial action such as an overtime ban or Blue Flu. Work-to-rule has been employed in sectors where striking is prohibited, including education policing, and healthcare, as well as in authoritarian societies such as Russia which prohibit strikes generally. ![]() Work-to-rule may be employed formally or informally by workers and organizers as an alternative to traditional strike action in contexts where strikes are prohibited, either by law or due to lack of workforce union participation or political will. In such cases workers have been recommended to ask for a written direction to carry out the work, which can be used as evidence if necessary. ![]() In practice there may be ambiguous conditions, for example a contract that requires working additional hours when necessary, or a requirement to work to operational requirements. It is a form of protest against low pay and poor working conditions, and is considered less disruptive than a strike or lockout as obeying the rules is not susceptible to disciplinary action or loss of pay. This may cause a slowdown or decrease in productivity if the employer does not hire enough employees or pay the appropriate salary and as such does not have the requirements needed to run at the level they desire. ![]() Work-to-rule (also known as an Italian strike, in Italian: Sciopero bianco, or slowdown in US usage ) is a job action in which employees do no more than the minimum required by the rules of their contract or job, and strictly follow time-consuming rules normally not enforced. |
